AudioGames.net Forum → General Game Discussion → New train simulator is in the testing fase
oh but @125, if he says he *NEEDS* it, then he really does! I mean... he can survive a month without food, three days without water, a minute without oxygen and about 30 seconds without atmospheric pressure, but only 5 seconds without testing the game, you killers you!
Just a friendly suggestion, seeing as there isn't an actual release this topic be moved to general games to prevent confusion.
@129, that's a great idea. Do you know who is able to do that or, if I myself can do that, how I can do that?
Ask an administrator to do it, perhaps report your post
hello, a suggestion, it would be very epic if this new simulator had the possibility to translate into other languages. this would make the game popular and many other players who don't understand English could play
I'm just coming on here to call out post @121, really and all udder seriousness?? No, you don't need to test this game, no you will not be able to test this game, and there will be no way to test this game because beta applications has been closed for months. You have no patience what so fucking ever! You really think that this dev is going to give ya a beta of this game just to get yo way? Fuck no! You're a disgrace to society and I honestly hope you learn your lesson from this! Uuuuuuuug! What s wrong with these people! You like an impatient little 5 year old who wants to get his way. So for the final time, no, you don't neeeeeed to test at all! Regarding the game however, looking forward to when it does indeed come out and take your time with it. Don't even bother giving out release dates because these impatient little fucking pricks don't know patience at all! I'd much rather have you announce when it does come out whenever you want. I'd say, do like VG storm does and just let it out of the bag out of nowhere! Kind of better that way if ya really think about it.
At 134 oi, someone's pissed , no but seriously, we won't give out release dates, exactly for that matter. Development is finished when it's finished, there are always some bolts that need tightening so to speak.
Greetings Moritz.
@134 I really don't think that was needed.
Hello all!
Well, I just thought I'd post a short update in here.
Yes, the development of TWS is still ongoing, so don't worry about that.
I also added a new poll to the topic and I'd like to ask you to vote there so that I know what you as a community think is more importand of the mentioned points.
Regards
Taurus Fan
Why's there no all of the above?
Before I vote I'll throw a wrench in.
I'd rather have five hihly detailed trains than 50 poorly detailed ones. In other words. Quality. Not quantity.
@139, well, the mentioned option hasn't been put in because that probably wouldn't really help me if everyone would just click on "everything".
I did voat but I'll also post what I think would be good here since it isn't in one of the voats.
With the recording that you showed us when ever that was. I liked what I saw, and I don't really no what you've added after that.
But anyways, I would like good sounds obviously since were all blind so. Honestly sound is one of the most inportant things in an Audio Game of course. But I would also like to have a lot of trains. Now hopefully you'll release updates with new sounds, and trains if possible. But honestly maybe a little of all of the voats. You no.
@141, you're right. I just added this poll to maybe get a feel what I should concentrate first on or what is most importand for you. I mean, I as a train nerd possibly have different priorities from the rest of our community here.
Hello all!
First, thanks to everyone who already took the time to vote in the poll above.
Until now for 50 % of the voters the sounds are the most importand feature, which isn't really surprising as it's an audiogame we're talking about.
The sounds are followed by the authentic systems. What exactly do you expect there? Many systems which also exist in reality or possibly one or two less but the other ones completely accurate? Keep in mind that many of these systems are state or even engine specific.
In 3rd place are the authentic driving physics. What exactly do you expect there? That the trains brake and accelerate differently depending on weather conditions or that the load of a train makes a difference? What exactly would you like to see there.
And the last point is "a large number of vehicles". Well, nothing to say about that. Until now there are some 45+ vehicles included so, that requirement should be kind of fullfilled already, I think.
Thanks in advance for your answers and if you have any questions or suggestions, just post them in here. I'd love to read them and will try to implement at least some of them.

The number of vehicles is very important. But if they sound shitty they won't be fun to play, so you have to make them sound cool. that is, don't just make the base audio pitch up at normal engine rpm.
I don't know how to do it, but good luck xD.
Hi.
I voted authentic systems. I would love to see some realistic behavor like the trains acts differently based on the weather, based on the rails, based on how many cars are used etc. Sounds are great, but I care more about the gameplay than the sounds.
Hello!
@144 and @145, thanks for your posts here.
@144, well, as I already said, I already built some 45+ vehicles and some people also already created the first mods which will be released after the game some time. So, there are quite a lot of different vehicles with different sounds to choose from. If you want to listen to some of them, check out my Youtube page which can be found linked as my website. There you'll find a playlist for TWS videos, some older some newer, and some in German, others in English.
@145, thanks for the information. So basically you would like to have different weather conditions and that the acceleration and deceleration are depending on many variables such as train length, load, weather and rail conditions, wind and so on, did I understand that correctly?
Hello,
I have a question. If I were to send you like 5 minutes recordings of a cupple of trams and a metro, would that be enough to extract useable sounds? I asked you via forum email but either the mail didn't go or you're not using that email address anymore.
Thanks.
@147, well, I didn't receive any mails from audiogames.net lately even though I most certainly still use this mail account. Strange.
However, in general that usually isn't enough as I need many more sounds from a specific train in order to recreate it successfully. However, if the game is released some day you can try to create it yourself, if you want to. Otherwhise you can also just send me the recordings via the mail account shown in the first post of this topic and I'll take a look at them.
I think you should balance everything.
I mean is useless if you have good sound but poor mechanics. Or the other way around.
A bit of everything. Like a quality food.
@146: Yep, exactly.
