I agree, use Discord. There are a lot of bots that you can use for that, some you can host yourself, and some that you just give it the invite link for your server and it joins.

There is an open-source media bot on Github. Using it without a Teamtalk SDK license would be... questionable. Setting it up should be pretty simple, I think there's a readme, so just use that.

@1, First, you cannot install this bot on Ubuntu 16 due to incompatibility with Python. Better to use Ubuntu 20 or Debian 10.
Secondly, there is a nice community of this bot on Telegram, so if you want you can join it and find quite useful things there, for example, how to automate your bots with systemd, running multiple instances of the bot with one copy by specifying the configuration and cache filenames, etc. Click here to join.
There is a readme, however it needs to be rewritten from scratch. I'm planning on doing it, though not sure when it will be, as I'm really a little lazy to do it 
plus my university stuff.

@5 and @6 screaming to use discord in this case doesn't actually help the op. I know he should probably switch to discord but that was not his question.
