@1, even if that was possible, basically nothing written in the Internet can ever be fully deleted. That's kind of a fact. Even if no backups are stored somewhere.
@8, completely agree. I personally believe that people should only write things which they don't have to feel ashamed for some years later. E.g., when they grew up or whatever.

I personally don't see any good reason for deleting topics. It's only warranted if you create duplicate topics.
Also, I don't think they want to delete their topics to cover up anything. I think they're doing this because they think the forum is disrespecting them, so they're doing it out of spite. Take a look at their signature and you'll see what I mean.

However, on the surface I don't think your case will hold weight, assuming you want to delete things like:

You've gotten your precious but not so good SBP server file and posted a code clone for everyone to enjoy. Maybe the former should stay around because why not? And the latter... that's already been dealt with. The audiogames.net reflector seemingly went down in March, but everything here was archived outside of our control--so even if we were to edit posts they'd still be around in their original form elsewhere.

@1, hate to brake it to you, but what goes on the internet stays on the internet. Doesn't matter if you delete it, edit it, or have people delete it for you. We are all still going to remember it. So why don't you just go back to playing SBP, huh? Oh, but wait, I forgot you don't like that game. Yet you still play it.
